About Us
HONIHONI FARM STORY
Honihoni Farm is my unique take on farming, home essentials, art, and other creative works that spring forth from my daily contact with this land. My name is Zane DeMello a Kanaka Mea 'ai from Kona, Hawaii Island, now farming on the beautiful North Shore of Oahu. Thanks for coming along as we build up the vision of Honihoni Farm into a legacy of aina stewardship, food sustinance, and generational healing.

Our Story
Honihoni Farm was started with a simple mission: to create a regenerative relationship with the community, where our growth fosters growth and connection in the community . With access to this special land, I wanted to channel my previous experiences in farming, art, and active lifestyle into some intimate personal work in hopes of building a strong bond with the North Shore and Greater Hawaii community.
We take a natural approach to our work here on the farm, focusing on regenerative soil building, cultural crafts, and pesticide/herbicide free cultivation. We make most of our fertilizers on site, constantly observing to sharpen our scrappy production skills.
We offer volunteer experiences here on the farm where you can be part of the food production process. We do larger group volunteer days, but you can also sign up for a a solo work session at your convenience. This is a great way to connect with the land while learning about our cultivation processes and our ever evolving projects.
We started out doing pop ups at special events in 2023 and We currently offer our Market Produce, eggs, Honey, Soap, Hand dyed clothing and Hemp products at the Waialua Farmers market every Saturday at the Waialua Sugar Mill from 8:30am to 1pm. We are going into 2025 with goals to expand to other markets island wide along with offering select products in local stores.
Mahalo for your support!
